FAQ

Questions churches often ask

Can't see your question here? Give us a call on 03 5922 4355. We're happy to talk it through.

Who owns the website and the domain name?

Your church does. The domain is always registered in the church’s name, never ours or a volunteer’s, and the website files belong to you. You can have a copy at any time.

Can our church office or volunteers update it themselves?

Yes. Adding a sermon, an event or a notice is a short form in a simple admin panel. There’s nothing to install and nothing that can break the design. We show your team how it works when we launch.

What if we’d rather not update it ourselves?

Choose a care plan and just email us. Care covers one change a month and Care Plus covers one update a week. You can switch between doing it yourselves and having us do it whenever you like.

How long does it take?

Usually days to a couple of weeks. The biggest factor is how quickly your content comes together: service times, beliefs, photos and so on. Moving from an existing website is often very quick, because the content already exists.

We already have a WordPress or Wix website. Can you move it?

Yes, and it’s one of the most common things we do. We bring your content across, redirect the old page addresses so links and Google results keep working, and leave you with a faster, more secure site with nothing to patch.

What are the ongoing costs?

A domain name is $66 a year and hosting is $33 a month, including GST. Care plans are optional. See the pricing page for the full breakdown.

Can we get church email addresses?

Yes. We can set up email addresses on your church’s own domain, or keep working with whatever email you already use.

Can people give online through the website?

Yes. We link your giving page to the giving platform or bank details your church already uses, so there’s no new system for your treasurer to learn.

Do you only work in Victoria?

No, we work with churches and ministries right across Australia. Everything can be done by phone, email and video call.

Do you work with camps, conventions and other ministries?

Yes. We’ve built websites for a Christian convention and a camp and conference centre, with programmes, speakers and bookings. Ask us for a quote.

Our board needs two quotes. Can you provide a formal quote?

Of course. We’ll send a written quotation with the scope, fixed price and ongoing costs set out separately, ready for your meeting.

Let’s talk about your church’s website

Tell us a little about your church and what you need. We’ll come back with options and a fixed price you can take to your council or board.
